Infrastructure

Overview

The infrastructure of the School is designed to fulfil requirements for the various subjects and activities it offers.

The School building has separate wings for different age groups. Alongwith a spacious three storied building housing well ventilated classrooms the School also has updated science laboratories, adequately equipped computer section with LAN and internet facility, music rooms, multi-purpose air-conditioned halls, art studio, gym room, staff rooms and a well-stocked library.

Assembly Ground

A wide stage for morning assembly and cultural activities overlooks the spacious play fields and parade ground while a variety of plants and trees adds to the aesthetic appeal.

The School grounds offer students a free space to practice sports. There is a skating rink where optional training can be taken by interested students after School hours. There is also a clean, well-stocked canteen for refreshments.

Science Lab

The Science Laboratory is equipped to make the lessons more informative and interactive.

Maths Lab

The maths lab provides an opportunity for the students to discover mathematics through doing. It helps students to visualize, manipulate and reason.

Biology lab

Our school boasts of a highly equipped and well-stocked biology laboratory. Through experiments, students are able to gain first-hand knowledge and appreciate various concepts of Biology.

Chemistry Lab

Our chemistry lab is well equipped with chemicals and other apparatus to cater to the needs of all the students up to class 12.

Physics Lab

Our Physics laboratory is equipped with modern equipment to help the students learn the concepts of Physics with experiments. It is designed to give practice of taking measurements, analyzing data and drawing inferences while the students experiment.

Computer Lab

The School is proud of its well-equipped Computer Lab with LAN and Internet facility with an advanced infrastructure in terms of hardware and software to cater to the requirements of the students, teachers and the curriculum.

The School in equipped with digital classrooms, which brings a new dimension to using technology in the classroom. It is a complete solution designed to support teachers in meeting with their day to day classroom challenges and enhancing students’ academic performance with simple, practical and meaningful use of technology. All digital classrooms have their own Hi-tech multimedia computers with powerful projectors and speakers which can be seen and heard from every corner of the room.

Library

The well-stocked Library has sections ranging from textbooks and reference books to fiction and general knowledge. Since the School aims at making learning a fun process, there is an assortment of books and magazines available on general topics with separate sections for books related to hobbies, travel etc.

Auditorium

The School boasts of 2 large air-conditioned Auditoriums – Jyoti Bhavan and Kalpana Chawla Auditorium. Both are equipped with modern audio visual facilities and a good seating capacity. These auditoriums host numerous events, including graduation ceremonies, annual day and award functions, Inter-School and Intra-School competitions, plays and dances, to name just a few.

Music Centre

Right from its inception, the music centre has been a huge success with the students as it introduces them to the finer aspects of grace and melody.

An array of musical instruments, viz. the sitar, tabla, harmonium available at the centre gives students an opportunity to learn Vocal and Instrumental Music. Those interested in the many dance forms of our country can choose to develop their unique talents under the guidance of our dance teachers.

Art Studio

All students of various age groups are encouraged to participate in art and craft activities through both class work and various Intra School and Inter School competitions. Art teachers regularly engage with students to hone their artistic abilities.

Clinic

An air-conditioned Infirmary is available on School premises for all health-related needs of students. Proper information and advice are provided to parents/guardians whenever required. Inspite of utmost care taken by all School staff at all times if any mishap or emergency occurs during School time, students are administered first-aid and their parents/guardians are immediately contacted.

School Transport

The School operates a fleet of well maintained, GPS enabled School Buses which run on different routes of Karnal and its suburbs. This facility is available on a first come first serve basis. The School also holds the additional responsibility of arranging vehicles for external activities like School picnics, educational tours, and to send students to participate in various Inter-School activities.
